New Delhi: With the government’s focus on Atmanirbhar or self-reliance, the three-day conference on ‘India’s Defence Architecture: Road to Atmanirbhar Bharat’ which began September 27 will see nine sessions in which experts would discuss a wide range of defence issues with focus on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s subject Atmanirbhar Bharat in the defence sector.
The conference organised by the Global Counter-Terrorism Council (GCTC) is in co-partnership with National Forensic Sciences University, Ministry of Home Affairs.
The conference will be in hybrid mode, and will be attended by key dignitaries like Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh, (Retd.), former governor of Uttarakhand, Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State for Defence, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Information Technology and Skill Development who will deliver the valedictory address on the concluding day, Dr. Shekhar Dutt, IAS (Retd), former Governor, Chhattisgarh and former Defence Secretary, former Indian Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Retd.), William L. Blair, Chief Executive – India, Lockheed Martin India Private Limited, and Michael Chertoff, Former US Secretary of Homeland Security.
Defence Secretary, Dr Ajay Kumar will deliver a special address with focus mainly on the various measures taken by the government to make India Atmanirbhar Bharat.
‘India’s Defence Architecture: Road to Atmanirbhar Bharat’ is the annual signature event organized by Global Counter Terrorism Council. GCTC is one of India’s Leading think tanks in the field of National Security, International Relations, and Energy Dialogues.
The Conference will see participation by serving officials from the Tri-services, armed forces veterans, diplomats, academics, and executives of defence related companies.
