Raghu Vamsi Group Ties Up with University of Sheffield’s AMRC to Strengthen UK India Partnership in Aerospace Manufacturing and Advance Super Alloys

Hyderabad: Raghu Vamsi Group has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), a leading institute in super alloys and single crystal castings.

The agreement will strengthen the Group’s manufacturing footprint in the UK and India as well as support its diversification into the aerospace and defence sector, while helping build the know-how for the Group’s planned Super Alloys facility in Telangana.

The collaboration brings together PT-PMC’s manufacturing capabilities and AMRC’s research and innovation ecosystem, with a focus on advanced manufacturing, super alloys and single crystal castings, supply-chain efficiency, workforce development and industry readiness. It builds on Raghu Vamsi Group’s established strength in the oil and gas sector and supports its expansion into high-value aerospace and defence manufacturing.

Vamsi Vikas Ganesula, Managing Director, Raghu Vamsi Group, said, ” This MoU with the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) is an important step in Raghu Vamsi Group’s journey to build globally competitive manufacturing. AMRC is a world leader in advanced manufacturing, including single crystal castings, and we are delighted to partner with them to bring this know-how to India.”

He added, “ As we set up a Super Alloys facility and R&D centre in Telangana, this collaboration will help us build the technology foundation for the sector, with the vision of making the state a global leader in Super Alloys. More broadly, this partnership reflects the growing strength of UK-India economic ties. It will promote two-way trade, nurture skilled talent, and create new opportunities in Aerospace and Defence, while strengthening our manufacturing presence in the UK and building resilient supply chains between our two countries.”

As part of the collaboration, PT-PMC and AMRC will work together to strengthen manufacturing processes and introduce advanced, digitally enabled practices across PT-PMC’s UK operations. The partnership will also look at specialised capabilities and technology-led improvements to meet the sector’s future requirements, and will help bring AMRC’s expertise in super alloys and single crystal castings to the Group’s planned facility in Telangana.

A key focus will be strengthening the UK-India supply chain, a link that reflects the growing strength of trade between the two countries. AMRC will assess logistics, carbon impact and inventory linked to the movement of materials between the UK and India, and the partners will explore ways to improve efficiency and prepare PT-PMC for relevant aerospace and defence industry accreditations. This will help promote two-way trade and build resilient supply chains between the two nations.

The MoU also places strong emphasis on engineering talent. PT-PMC has already invested in four apprentices who began their programmes on September 1, 2026, and its collaboration with the AMRC Training Centre will open further opportunities for specialised apprenticeships, workforce upskilling and talent development across its UK operations, nurturing skilled talent for both countries.

Rushabh Shah, University of Sheffield AMRC, said, “We are delighted to be working with Raghu Vamsi Group. Its leadership’s conviction in the UK–India relationship puts the Group in a strong position to benefit from the landmark Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which entered into force on July 15, 2026. We look forward to supporting the growth of its UK footprint in South Yorkshire, while also supporting its India operations in serving clients who need global capabilities localised. I am particularly pleased that we can extend the work we have done with large manufacturers such as Boeing to SMEs and suppliers around the world, helping them make, scale and grow under Raghu Vamsi’s stewardship.”

The partnership will serve as a framework for exploring future joint initiatives, with specific projects, work packages and funding arrangements to be taken forward through separate agreements. The MoU will remain in place for an initial period of three years, unless extended or terminated earlier by mutual agreement.

The collaboration marks another step in Raghu Vamsi Group’s efforts to build a stronger global manufacturing ecosystem, expand its capabilities in Aerospace and Defence and deepen industrial collaboration between the UK and India.
