DSIL and Skylock, Israel Sign MoU to Manufacture Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems in India

New Delhi:  SKYLOCK, Israel and DCM Shriram Industries Limited (DSIL), India have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to engage in manufacturing and distribution of various Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) Solutions in India for both global and domestic requirements.

SKYLOCK, which is part of the AVNON Group, is a leading authority for the design and production of CUAS solutions amongst a range of other security and defence solutions. Both the groups are pleased to announce that they have signed this MoU which will further strengthen the close ties between the two countries. The SKYLOCK representative said that SKYLOCK is excited to share their expertise and journey in the Indian market and believe the collaboration will benefit both the parties in the long term.

DCM Shriram Industries Limited, through their Senior MD & CEO, Alok B Shriram, commented that the company has now forayed into security related manufacturing under the Prime Minister’s clarion call for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ initiative. Rudra Shriram, Jt. President, said that the company will be building on the technology and expertise of SKYLOCK and will be manufacturing for India and for the world. We will be focused on setting up a fully integrated green field facility to manufacture such products and solutions in India.

SKYLOCK hopes that in the future it will be able to use the Indian manufacturing facility to supply and service its customers worldwide. Both the companies agreed to work and co-ordinate with each other in the development of new customisable models of CUAS Solutions for various security forces in India.

With the emerging drone threat, CUAS Solutions are the need of the hour. The niche industry is in a nascent stage and is poised to grow in the coming years. Presently, the solutions available in the market are first generation systems providing short term solutions.

The CUAS Solutions of SKYLOCK, Israel are modular, multi-layered and deliver comprehensive security for operating Bases, critical infrastructures, vital areas and convoys against evolving UAS threats. These solutions are tailor made for detection, verification, and neutralisation. These systems empower defence and police forces to anticipate and rapidly respond effectively to unlawful drone incursions.
