Bristol, UK. Elbit Systems UK (ESUK) will take part in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, held in Farnborough, Hampshire, from July 20-24. A subsidiary of global defence technology company Elbit Systems Ltd., Elbit Systems UK has been delivering advanced, sovereign defence technologies to the British Armed Forces for over two decades. ESUK places UK protection and defence development closely alongside tailored innovation to meet the specific needs of British customers.
As a British company employing over 650 skilled professionals across 15 sites nationwide, ESUK provides the British Armed Forces with a broad portfolio of advanced defence solutions. ESUK currently delivers a series of synthetic training solutions that ensure military personnel are mission-ready for the demands of modern operations. Alongside this, ESUK provided cutting-edge Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS), including Thor and 17Magni-X, to the British Army – providing enhanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. ESUK is also a key partner on the Royal Navy’s Maritime Electronic Warfare System Integrated Capability (MEWSIC) programme, providing next-generation electromagnetic warfare systems to the Royal Navy’s front-line fleet.
At Farnborough, ESUK will discuss the breadth of capabilities across the air domain that can support the British Armed Forces in facing the challenges of tomorrow. This will include ESUK’s X-Sight Helmet Mounted Display (HMD), which is already helping helicopter pilots internationally to fly safer by providing more accurate situational awareness. X-Sight provides pilots with a visual overlay of tactical flight and mission data, combined with sensor information across a wide field of view, providing better visibility for hazards like power lines, as well as threats including UAS and enemy aircraft.
Visitors to the ESUK booth will also be able to learn about additional air technologies from Elbit Systems’ portfolio, including pilot and mission training solutions designed to prepare aircrews in highly realistic operational environments; airborne self-protection suites with electronic warfare (EW) capabilities intended to enhance survivability and support air superiority in complex threat environments; as well as Elbit Systems’ laser technologies, including its high-power laser capabilities, a key component of emerging air defence architectures, and the company’s next-generation airborne laser under development.
Following the acquisition of U-TacS earlier this year, ESUK will discuss the plan for the business. As a proven hub for UAS manufacturing in the UK, U-TacS is central to ESUK’s growth plans in the UK, aiming to manufacture a series of capabilities, including autonomous persistent effectors. During the show, ESUK will outline its plan for the business as well as the capabilities it can offer to the MoD and to wider industry.
