EDGE Entity CARACAL to Enhance Safety of UAE Firearms and Ammunition Under ‘Tawazun Quality and Conformity’ Contract

Abu Dhabi, UAE: CARACAL, a regional leader in high-performance small arms within EDGE, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defence groups, signed a contract on February 20 with Tawazun Quality and Conformity (TQC), to enhance the safety of CARACAL’s high-performance firearms and ammunition.

Signed at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference 2025 (IDEX 2025), the contract is a significant milestone in ensuring CARACAL’s advanced line of combat pistols, sub-machine guns, mission-proven assault rifles, precision sniper rifles, and light machine gun preform to the highest industry standards. Under the contract, CARACAL LIGHT AMMUNITION (CLA), the UAE’s sole producer of military-grade ammunition and subsidiary of CARACAL, will also utilise the testing, validation, accreditation, and certification facilities.

The contract is the latest development in CARACAL’s ongoing effort to guarantee the safety and performance of its firearms and ammunition. To ensure flawless performance, irrespective of circumstances, weather or mission conditions, CARACAL manufactures and tests its infantry systems and ordnance to comply with the stringent international standards specified by NATO and CIP.

Attendees can visit EDGE’s diverse portfolio at indoor stand 05-C20 in hall 5 and outdoor stand CP-270 until February 21, 2025.
