DRDO Conducts Night Trial of Indigenous Missile Prithvi-II

 

New Delhi: The night trial of indigenously developed nuclear capable surface-to-surface missile Prithvi-II was conducted on December 3 off Odisha coast.

The trial of the short-range ballistic missile was conducted by the Strategic Forces Command from launch complex-3 of Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, defence sources said.

The missile, with a strike range of 350 km, was test-fired at 7.48 pm, the sources said.

The last night time test of the Prithvi-II was on November 20 this year.

The missile is capable of carrying 500 to 1,000 kg of warheads, is powered by liquid propulsion twin engines.
