Aeronautics Group Appoints Dan Slasky as CEO

The Aeronautics Group’s board of directors has appointed Dan Slasky as CEO to provide integrated turnkey solutions based on unmanned systems platforms, payloads and communications for defence and Homeland Security (HLS) applications.

Headed by chairman Major General (retired) Yoav Har-Even, Slasky replaces Moshe Elazar, who completed a successful three-year term as Aeronautics Group CEO, during which time the company doubled sales, tripled its order backlog, developed products and won major international tenders.

For the past five years, Slasky served as CEO of the SCD Group, jointly owned by Rafael and Elbit Systems to develop and manufacture infrared sensors for the defence and civilian markets.

Under his leadership, the company has grown and developed into a world leader in the field, with annual sales around $200 million, a wide geographic distribution, and products installed on major platforms in Israel and around the world.

Prior to that, Slasky served in senior management positions at Elbit Systems, including as senior vice president of the airborne electro-optical and laser division for directional infrared counter measures (DIRCM) anti-missile defence systems installed on military and civilian aircraft, as well as tactical and long-range observation systems for drones and manned aircraft, space imaging systems, head up display systems for aircraft, and laser-based systems.

Har-Even said: “I welcome the appointment of Dan Slasky as CEO of the Aeronautics Group, as he brings with him a wealth of skills and experience, both as CEO and in leading large multidisciplinary teams in the airborne domain. I wish to thank Moshe Elazar for the company’s impressive achievements in recent years.”
