Tension Rise Between Turkey-Russia

Tel Aviv: Tensions between Russia and Turkey have reached a new peak after a Russian drone entered the Turkish airspace and was shot down. Recently, Turkey used F-16 fighter to intercept and shoot down an unidentified drone that was out of control as it approached the Black Sea airspace. A few days later, in northwest Turkey, close to Izmit, a crashed drone thought to be a Russian-made Orlan-10 reconnaissance model was discovered.

The December 15, incident became the focus of an investigation into the origin and circumstances of the wrecked Orlan-10, which was found on December 18 and displayed damage from either a crash or prior hit. The Orlan-10 serves Russian forces for reconnaissance and surveillance, often linked to Black Sea operations, monitoring maritime threats like Ukraine’s naval drones.
