Leading Electro-Optics Company Meprolight to Open Production Assembly Line in India, Partners RRP S4E Innovation

Tel Aviv. Israeli company Meprolight, a member of the SK Group will open a production assembly line in India. The official launch event took place on July 10, 2024, in Mumbai, India, marking the cooperation agreement with RRP S4E Innovation Pvt. Limited, a leading Indian Defence Innovator.
The Technology Transfer Agreement (ToT) responds to the increasing global demand for Meprolight’s Electro-Optical and Optical Sights and supports the expansion of its manufacturing capabilities through sharing of manufacturing knowledge with RRP S4E Innovation Pvt. Ltd.
The assembly line will produce the MEPRO MOR, a versatile reflex sight for day, low-light, and night time operations; the MEPRO M5, a MIL-SPEC red dot optic with multiple brightness levels and NVG compatibility; and the MEPRO M21, a self-illuminated reflex sight utilising fiber-optic and tritium technology, ensuring continuous operation without batteries.
The production of these leading sights will occur at RRP S4E Innovation Pvt. Limited in India, adhering to military and ISO 9001 standards.
“This initiative not only meets the rising global demand for Meprolight sights but also underscores our dedication to delivering superior solutions worldwide,” said Golan Kalimi, VP Marketing at Meprolight.
“We are committed to sharing our manufacturing expertise with our Indian partners at RRP S4E Innovation Pvt. Limited, supporting the ‘Made in India’ initiative and fostering more job opportunities in the country,” he added.
Kalimi told Raksha Anirveda that India is a major client for Israel’s defence export. “We have already signed contracts in India but to enhance our sales, we decided to open this assembly line and transfer technology to our India partner.”
Kalimi added that the demand for the company’s products has grown and therefore the company decided to open production facilities in other countries.
“Our unique sights give the infantry soldiers a very clear advantage in combat,” Kalimi emphasised.
Meprolight, a member of the SK Group and a leading international electro-optics company, has been developing, manufacturing and marketing systems for armed forces, law enforcement agencies and civilian markets since 1990.
The company, provides comprehensive solutions in a wide array of combat-proven products: self-illuminated, illuminated, electro-optical and optical sights and devices, night vision sights and observation systems, laser pointers, and thermal sights.
