Samtel Spreads Its Wings in the United States

Graydon Myhre (President, GEM Defense Solutions) to take charge of Samtel’s US business development activities

New Delhi. As part of its international expansion program, Samtel Avionics Ltd. (SA) – a key Indian player in high-technology rugged military systems & products, today announced that it has appointed GEM Defense Solutions LLC as its Business Development & Marketing agent in North America. Mr Graydon (Grady) Myhre, President of GEM Defense Solutions LLC, will represent Samtel Avionics in USA and Canada in various business development and marketing activities. This development marks a significant foray of SA into the international market, thus facilitating close liaison with existing and potential customers, while helping SA pursue Business Development activities in this geography.

Mr Graydon Myhre (Grady) is a Multi-disciplined Defense Contracting Expert, and brings with him over 35 years of experience indifferent functions including Business Development, Supply Chain, Contracting, Export Compliance, etc. He has worked for the US government (USN) and with several defense majors like BAE Systems, GDLS, L3/Harris, DynCorp. He has most recently served as Director, Supply Chain Direct, for BAE Systems Combat Mission Systems (CMS) for nine years, leading their Supply Chain Sustainment and International (S&I) team in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Grady holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Distributive Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, both from Gustavus Adolphus College, and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Government Contracting from the University of St. Thomas. Grady has earned both a 1301P Procurement Professional and 1306S Acquisition and Distribution Certifications from the US Government while serving as a Supply Corp Officer for nine years in the US Navy, and has developed an unparalleled breadth of experience as a professional within US Defense Prime and 1st Tier Subcontractor roles.
