ExoTechnologies Appoints Colonel Tom Ryall as Managing Director, Defence, to Spearhead Maritime Defence Innovation

Douglas, Isle of Man: ExoTechnologies, a pioneer in maritime defence technology solutions, November 28 announced the appointment of Colonel Tom Ryall as the new Managing Director of its Defence business, effective from January 8, 2024. Colonel Ryall will lead the company’s international expansion and innovation in the maritime defence market, focusing on small boats, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), and advanced autonomous technologies.

Colonel Tom Ryall, a distinguished figure in the Royal Marines and Specialist Units, brings to ExoTechnologies a wealth of experience in strategic leadership, defence innovation, and operational expertise. His remarkable career, spanning over two decades, includes pivotal roles in the development and integration of cutting-edge military and dual-use technologies, making him an ideal fit to lead ExoTechnologies’ Defence business. Notably, he led the pioneering XV PATRICK BLACKETT project, and the next-generation capabilities programme for the Future Commando Force, and implemented a high-performance and resilience program that significantly improved operational efficiency.
