Tel Aviv. Rafael Advanced Combat Systems Ltd, together with AnyVision, have established a new company – SightX, for the development of advanced detection and tracking technologies, while integrating artificial intelligence capabilities that will be adapted to military uses. These capabilities will also be integrated into existing Rafael systems.

The new company SightX will be based on the infrastructure of the military department of AnyVision, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of computer vision technologies, which has also won prestigious awards for its face recognition technologies, which are used at border crossings.

SightX will be jointly owned by Rafael and AnyVision shareholders. The company will employ several dozen employees and is already in the process of recruiting staff, which will continue throughout the coming year.

Rafael, which has been developing advanced computer vision capabilities for the past three decades, is implementing this move as part of its business strategy to maintain the company’s technological leadership.

Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) is one of the most evolving and innovative technologies in recent years in the world of computer vision, enabling smart weapons to acquire targets based on structures, mapping and visual patterns.

Rafael’s CEO, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Yoav Har-Even, welcomed the completion of the deal and said, “We are pleased to establish SightX in cooperation with AnyVision, one of the leading companies in the field of computer vision and artificial intelligence. The cooperation between the companies will give birth to new and groundbreaking technologies, and will enable Rafael to provide the most advanced solutions to its customers in Israel and around the world”.
