Since taking charge in 2017 when Star Air was only a blueprint, Capt Tiwana has played a pivotal role in scaling Star Air into India’s largest regional carrier.

The airline has flown more than 3 million passengers across 32 destinations and operates a growing fleet of 8 Embraer E175s and 4 helicopters, with a plan to induct additional fixed-wing aircraft in upcoming years.

“In aviation, nothing has happened till it has actually happened,” said Capt Tiwana. This reflects his belief in the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the aviation industry where plans can change in an instant, and success depends on preparedness, adaptability, and calm decision-making.

To him, this phrase is a reminder that discipline, teamwork, and resilience are essential to navigating both routine and unexpected challenges.
