Sol.One Raises €2 Million at a €750 Million Valuation, Begins Fit-out of New 8,000 m² Drone Factory in Ghent

Bruges, Belgium. Sol.One, the Belgian developer of autonomous drone systems and defence technology, on August 3 announces three major steps in its growth trajectory. The company’s ambition is to rank among the top 5 UAV companies in Europe.

million. The round was led by Leviora Capital. The company is in further discussions with additional parties regarding follow-on investments in the coming weeks and months.

New 8,000 m² Drone Factory in Ghent (Evergem)

On August 4, Sol.One begins the fit-out of its new 8,000 m² drone factory in Evergem, near Ghent. Current production of the Saboteur drones will move to the new site immediately, while the facility is progressively equipped to manufacture drones at automotive scale.

“DRONE” Ticker Reserved on Euronext

In view of a future stock market listing, Sol.One has reserved the ticker symbol DRONE on the Euronext main market.

“This capital round, the launch of our new factory and the reserved ticker are three concrete building blocks of one and the same ambition: making Sol.One one of the five largest UAV companies in Europe. Starting tomorrow, we are building the production capacity in Evergem to get there,” stated Filip Verhaeghe, CEO of Sol.One.

Sol.One is a Belgian technology company specialising in autonomous drone systems, counter-UAS solutions and certified avionics. The company builds on fourteen years of experience in EASA-certified aviation electronics (DO-178C, DO-254) and develops, among others, the Saboteur platform, the Hitchhiker and Buzzkill interceptors, and the SolFusion data platform.

Sol.One is headquartered in Bruges with production in Ghent, and participates in European and Belgian defence programmes. Sol.One is the brand name of Sol1 BV.
