Orbit Communication Systems Receives New Order Worth $7.5 Million for Advanced Digital AMS from Leading US Aircraft Manufacturer

Tel Aviv: Israeli company Orbit Communication Systems has received a new order valued at approximately $7.5 million from a leading American aircraft manufacturer and US Department of Defence supplier for the delivery of advanced digital Audio Management Systems (AMS) for fighter aircraft produced by the customer.

Recently, Orbit also reported an additional $3.1 million order from the US Air Force for the upgrade of its ADAS Audio Management Systems installed onboard the KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft fleet. This order follows long-term framework agreements under which approximately $25 million in orders have already been executed.

Daniel Eshchar, CEO of Orbit Communication Systems said that the company has long-term cooperation with both – a leading American aircraft manufacturer and the US Air Force.

Orbit has developed some of the world’s most advanced audio management systems, offering 3D audio, adaptive noise reduction, outstanding sound quality, and full compliance with the most stringent military standards.

“The successful completion of development and transition to serial production reflects our customers’ confidence in Orbit’s technology and performance,” Eshchar added.

Orbit Communication Systems’ digital Audio Management System (AMS), including models like Orion and ADAMS, enhances pilot communication in aircraft by converting radio signals into distinct channels for clear audio separation amid noise.

Additional capabilities include superior crosstalk isolation, automatic gain control (AGC), and backup modes for high reliability.

Designed for single- or dual-seat aircraft and UAV ground stations, these systems enable secure voice relay via datalinks and have over 3,500 installations with firms like Rockwell Collins, Embraer, Gulfstream, and Bombardier. Deployments include F-16 avionics upgrades for 360-degree audio and UAS radio gateways for ATC communication.
