The explosion took place in the Katara district of the capital and eyewitnesses reported smoke rising above the explosion area. So far, there have been no reports of casualties from Qatar, which is still maintaining its silence.

Israeli officials are using the term “retaliatory action” against senior Hamas figures. A Hamas delegation is currently in Qatar to discuss the details of the hostages deal.
