Elbit Systems Expands Its E‑LynX™ SDR Family with a New Unified Connectivity Capability Linking Soldiers and Unmanned Platforms

The new capability is designed to deliver resilient, secure communications and continuous connectivity for manned and unmanned forces operating in contested environments

Berlin, Germany. Elbit Systems Ltd. has launched the E‑LynX™ UxS, a new addition to its E‑LynX™ Software Defined Radios (SDR) family, designed to connect manned and unmanned aerial and ground platforms within a single, unified, and secure communications network. The new technology is being showcased at the ILA exhibition in Berlin.

Developed to meet the growing demand for multi‑domain operations, the E‑LynXTM UxS provides persistent, high‑bandwidth and resilient connectivity for unmanned assets – carrying telemetry, command-and-control data, and payload data such as video and sensors feeds.

As part of the proven E‑LynXTM family, the E‑LynXTM UxS enhances interoperability within the E‑LynXTM communication systems, reduces soldier workload and improves situational awareness and coordination across the operational battlespace.

Compact in form factor and featuring low SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) by design, the E‑LynXTM UxS can be integrated into aerial, ground and maritime unmanned platforms – even those with minimal payload weight requirements – to support truly integrated autonomous maneuvering forces across all operational domains.

When pairing E-LynXTM UxS with E‑LynXTM SR (Soldier Radio) , Elbit Systems delivers a unified Software Defined Radio ecosystem that transforms autonomous platforms into organic elements of the maneuvering force, making MUM-T a battlefield reality and giving modern combat network a decisive edge.

At its core, the E‑LynXTM UxS leverages Elbit Systems’ advanced Mobile Ad-Hoc Networking (MANET) architecture, allowing every platform to serve as both a network participant and a relay node for other E-LynXTM radios. This creates resilient connectivity even in challenging or contested environments, significantly extending operational range and coverage through aerial and terrestrial relay nodes. The unit enables direct soldier control of unmanned systems while extending network connectivity.

As warfare becomes increasingly digital and autonomous, maintaining secure and continuous connectivity across all domains has become mission‑critical. The E‑LynXTM UxS provides a unified and robust communications backbone for MUM‑T operations, empowering commanders and soldiers alike with real‑time information sharing and operational control of unmanned systems.
