Bruges. Sol.One (Sol1 BV), a leading European drone manufacturer, on October 29 announced that it has secured commitments for EUR 5.5 million of financing, combining a capital increase and an issue of convertible bonds, the majority of which is backed by existing shareholders.
This first step launches Project SOLFORGE, a EUR 20 million investment plan designed to accelerate Sol.One’s development.
Fuelling Working Capital and a Buy-and-Build Strategy
The proceeds will reinforce Sol.One’s cash position and fund its working capital needs. They will also support an external growth strategy built on two pillars:
- the acquisition of new technology building blocks needed for Sol.One’s drone solutions;
- the acquisition of, or investment in, companies already active in the drone sector.
Through this strategy, Sol.One aims to achieve economies of scale, secure its supply chain and open new markets.
Board and Management to be Strengthened
Sol.One also plans to strengthen its Board of Directors and management team in the coming weeks. Further announcements will be made in due course.
Completion Expected by end of November 2026
The financing is expected to complete by the end of November 2026, subject to customary conditions, including the execution of the notarial deed for the capital increase. Leviora Capital supported Sol.One’s management throughout this transaction.
“This financing marks a step change for Sol.One. With Project SOLFORGE, we are moving up a gear. Many challenges still lie ahead, but our team is highly motivated and we can count on the strong support of our shareholders. We are convinced that bringing new businesses into the Group will create significant added value,” stated Filip Verhaeghe, Managing Director of Sol.One.
