Tel Aviv: The upgraded version of the Israeli Iron Dome rocket interceptor has managed to shoot down 95 % of the rockets launched by the Islamic Jihad terror organisation from Gaza since the beginning of operation Breaking Dawn opened by the IDF on August 5.

In parallel the Israeli Air Force using combat aircraft, combat helicopters and armed UAV’s is continuing to perform pin point attack on rocket launchers and warehouses where the terror organisation is storing its rockets.

The IDF is continuing Operation Breaking Dawn since Friday against Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, striking dozens of targets belonging to the group, killing dozens of operatives including the head of the group in the northern part of the enclave. The operation began on August 5 morning when the IDF killed Tayseer al-Jabari, the commander of the group’s northern command, and Abdullah Kadoum, the head of the group’s anti-tank guided missile division, in simultaneous attacks using armed UAV’s.

In the fighting that followed the killing of two senior officers of the terror organisation, the IDF has performed a great number of attacks using a very accurate target bank that has been prepared by the IDF intelligence and the Israeli general security service.

The upgraded Iron Dome now manages to intercepts even rockets that are assuming a very twisted trajectory because of their basic design.
