GRSE Bags BCC&I Social Leadership Award 2025 for Transformative CSR Initiative

Kolkata: Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE), won the BCC&I Social Leadership Award 2025 in the ‘Healthcare & Empowerment, Holistic Development’ category at the Fourth Edition of CSR Conclave & Social Leadership Awards 2025, instituted by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I). The award was presented to Rajeev Shrivastava, General Manager (HR&A), GRSE by Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee, revered as the Father of Indian CSR & Sustainability, at a grand ceremony held at Taj City Centre, Kolkata, on December 19, 2025.

The award recognises GRSE’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, “Akanksha – Aiming High”, which focuses on the holistic development of underprivileged children at Khidderpore, Kolkata. The initiative in partnership with CRY – Child Rights and You, has created sustained and measurable social impact through interventions in education, health and nutrition, psychosocial well-being, life skills and community empowerment.
