Mumbai/Kolkata: Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd., a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, was conferred the prestigious ‘Lifetime Contribution Award – Jury Honour’ by Nitish Narayan Rane, Hon’ble Minister of Fisheries & Ports Development, Government of Maharashtra, at the inaugural edition of the ET Infra Global Ports & Shipping Awards 2026 held at Taj Santacruz, Mumbai, on September 11, 2026.
The award was conferred in recognition of Cmde PR Hari’s distinguished leadership and sustained contribution to India’s maritime sector. Under his stewardship, GRSE has strengthened its operational capabilities, expanded its business horizons and achieved significant growth across key areas of shipbuilding and engineering, further reinforcing its position as one of India’s leading shipyards.

The honour recognises exceptional leadership, institution building, sectoral impact and the creation of a lasting legacy within the maritime ecosystem.
