Vice Adm Kataras, Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff Visit Focused on Furthering India-Greece Maritime Engagements

New Delhi: Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras had bilateral interaction with Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, and senior officials of MoD focused on furthering maritime engagements including joint operations, capacity building, joint training, and other issues of professional relevance.

The Vice Admiral who is on a four-day visit to this country from February 16,  paid tribute to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial. He also visited the International Fusion Centre for Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) at Gurugram.

During his visit, Vice Admiral Kataras will attend the International Fleet Review and MILAN 2026 at Visakhapatnam.

Hellenic Navy is an important maritime partner of the Indian Navy and the visit of Vice Admiral Kataras marks a key milestone in India-Hellenic Navy-to-Navy relations and is aimed at promoting shared interests and overall maritime security.
