Ultra Awarded Sonar Transducer Program Worth $69 million from US Navy

US Navy has selected Ultra to deliver the TR-317D AND TR-353A Transducers to support emergent fleet needs

 

Braintree, MA. Ultra announced that its Naval Systems and Sensors business unit has been awarded a $69,816,849 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract containing firm-fixed-price provisions from the United States Navy.

This contract is for production of transducers and installation kits. Work will be performed in Quincy, Massachusetts (68 per cent); and Hingham, Massachusetts (42 per cent), and is expected to be completed by April 2026. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, Newport, Rhode Island, is the contracting activity.

Ultra’s proven performance on this program dates back to 1997, and includes several successful First Article efforts and the delivery of more than 15,000 high quality TR-317 and TR-353 transducers to the US Navy. Theses transducers are integral to our submarine platforms, and Ultra is committed to continuing to deliver the highest quality of products that support our warfighters.”
