Tel Aviv: Ondas Holdings has unveiled two AI-driven defence systems built for the next generation of force protection capabilities: MODUS, a mobile counter-UAS platform, and IRON WAVE, a robotic combat suite designed to operate ahead of frontline forces.
According to the company, MODUS and IRON WAVE enable faster, more flexible combat by turning complex, multi-system environments into integrated autonomous capabilities.
Modern battlefields are evolving faster than traditional defence systems can adapt. FPV drones, swarms, fiber-optic guided threats, and multi-domain engagements are forcing a shift from isolated systems into integrated, autonomous combat ecosystems.
MODUS and IRON WAVE are built for that shift. Together, the systems integrate sensing, decision-making, and robotic manoeuvring into a unified operational framework, providing both protection and operational advantage at the tactical edge.
The company said that the two systems were built through direct operational feedback and rapid battlefield iteration cycles. The systems shorten the path from emerging threat to deployable solution, accelerating the transition from emerging operational requirements to deployable battlefield capabilities. This approach reflects Ondas’ focus on delivering simple, field-ready systems that can be deployed rapidly, adapted in real time, and proven in operational environments.
Mobile Autonomous Protection for Manoeuvre Forces: MODUS (Modular Under-Layer System) addresses the growing complexity of low-altitude threats, including fiber-optic guided drones immune to jamming and high-density swarm attacks.
The system integrates CoRF cyber detection, GNSS disruption, radar, AI-driven EO sensing, autonomous interceptors, and layered effectors into a single autonomous sensor-to-shooter platform, enabling man-above-the-loop control.
Through real-time sensor fusion, MODUS continuously evaluates the threat environment and orchestrates the optimal response.
Designed for mobility and rapid deployment, MODUS moves with manoeuvre forces, maintaining continuous protection in GNSS-denied, spectrum-constrained, and contested environments.
IRON WAVE is a deployable robotic combat suite designed to place robotic systems ahead of ground forces during high-risk operational missions.
Built on the “Bots Before Boots” concept, the system enables robotic platforms to detect, classify, and neutralise threats before exposing human forces.
The suite includes a rapidly deployable command unit, robotic combat vehicles, autonomous mission-control infrastructure, and multi-platform operator stations.
Already undergoing operational evaluation, IRON WAVE enables small teams to simultaneously operate multiple robotic combat and surveillance systems through AI-assisted coordination. It supports missions ranging from route clearance and EOD to reconnaissance, logistics, and forward operational support.
Built on combat-proven subsystems, IRON WAVE is designed for rapid deployment, intuitive operation, and immediate integration into frontline missions – with a minimal logistical footprint.
“Operational environments are changing faster than traditional deployment cycles can support,” said Eric Brock, CEO of Ondas.
“Military forces require autonomous systems that can be rapidly integrated, adapted to evolving threats, and deployed directly into frontline operations. Our focus is on accelerating the transition from operational requirements to deployable battlefield capabilities,” he added.
