Hellenic Navy Deploys Alpha A900 UAVs at Historic Thessaloniki Parade, Highlighting National Security and Spanish Technology Collaboration

Thessaloniki, Greece. Alpha Unmanned Systems participated in October 28 Oxi Day parade in Thessaloniki, joining the festivities that commemorate one of Greece’s most significant national holidays. The event, which marks the country’s historic resistance during World War II, attracted dignitaries and thousands of spectators, with advanced defense technology on full display.

Alpha Unmanned Systems showcased its flagship A900 unmanned helicopter, an innovative autonomous helicopter acclaimed for its reliability, versatility, and advanced engineering. The A900 is recognised for its long flight endurance—up to 4 hours—and its ability to carry multiple payloads for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. With its heavy-fuel engine and power redundancy, the A900 supports operations in challenging environments, including maritime and border security tasks.

The Hellenic Navy, Alpha’s first NATO maritime customer, operates five Alpha A900 systems for critical ISR missions across its fleet, with plans to further expand its rollout.

Featuring real-time communication capability up to 100 km, GPS-denied navigation, and automatic take-off and landing from moving vessels, the A900 demonstrates Alpha’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and operational excellence. Its compact design enables quick deployment, while modular payload bays allow adaptation for diverse mission profiles.
