Singapore. ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business and Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, on September 23 announced the signing of three multi-year agreements that build on their longstanding working relationship to enhance component support for airline operators.
These agreements mark a new collaboration on component repairs and extend existing arrangements for spare parts procurement and lifecycle repairs. Together, they enable ST Engineering and Collins to integrate original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) expertise, providing airline operators with reliable, fast-turnaround component repairs to meet aircraft dispatch needs.
The agreements cover three areas of collaboration:
New Boeing 787 Component Repair Support
ST Engineering will provide repair services for Collins fan assembly electronics boards used on the 787. The cooperation agreement reduces Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) repair turnaround times and improve efficiency through repair-over-replacement solutions for airlines and operators.
Broader OEM Spare Parts Support
ST Engineering extended and expanded a multi-platform agreement to procure new Power & Controls spare parts from Collins for its LRU component MRO operations. The broader scope adds more narrowbody aircraft components to ST Engineering’s portfolio for enhanced OEM-standard component repair support.
Continued Lifecyle Repair Support for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 LRUs
ST Engineering and Collins extended their collaboration on A320 and 737 family LRU component repairs through Collins’ aftermarket support programme, FlightSense™.
