Above 1.76 Lakh Defence Personnel Retired in Three Years from 2016 to 2018

New Delhi. A total of 1,76,255 personnel of the three wings of the Armed Forces retired during the three years 2016 to 2018 with the maximum being from the Army 1,43,696 while 17,502 retired from the Indian Air Force and 15,057 from the Navy.

The Annual Turnover as reported by companies operating in Defence and Aerospace sectors in the private sector for 2018-19 is approximately Rs.15,000 crores, while the corresponding figures for Public sector is Rs.63208 crores.

Home Ministry has approved 1377 Km of border roads along Indo-Nepal border at an estimated cost of Rs.3853 crore.

Besides, Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been entrusted with the task of construction and improvement of 269.05 Km of roads along the Indo-Nepal border at an estimated cost of Rs.1514 crore.
