High Eye Secures Dutch Navy Contract for Airboxer VTOL UAV

The selection marks a new chapter in maritime innovation and a significant milestone in High Eye’s journey

Dordrecht, The Netherlands: The selection of Airboxer VTOL UAV by the Dutch Navy is a significant milestone in High Eye’s journey of innovation and growth, said the company in a press release.

After an extensive study of maritime VTOL UAV systems, the Dutch Navy recognised the Airboxer’s suitability for the challenging maritime domain.

With over a decade of development, the Airboxer has evolved to its current level through dedication and craftsmanship. We are immensely proud that the Dutch Navy acknowledges the qualities of the Airboxer and the expertise of High Eye through this choice, the release said.

“The selection of the Airboxer is a milestone for High Eye. We are committed to becoming a long-term partner of the Dutch Navy. Integrating different payloads and embedding them in naval operations will be a valuable learning experience that will elevate our cooperation to the next level,” commented CEO Joost de Ruiter.

“It is great news for us that after winning an international tender from the Ministry of Defence, High Eye has now signed a contract with the Royal Navy. We see this as a reward for the hard work of our team and, above all, as an encouragement to continue,” Joost de Ruiter highlighted.
