Niranjan Bhalerao Takes Over as Director (Finance) of GRSE

Kolkata: Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) announced that Niranjan Bhalerao has assumed charge as Director (Finance) of the company with effect from October 6, 2025.

A seasoned finance professional, Bhalerao, is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Pune. He brings with him an extensive and diverse experience spanning 29 years across multiple functional areas in the oil and gas sector.

He began his professional journey in 1996 with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a Maharatna PSU, and over the years has worked in Refineries, Pipelines, and the Corporate Office. His experience covers a wide spectrum of roles including Management Accounting, Banking, Corporate Taxation (Direct & Indirect), Internal Audit, Corporate Affairs, Shipping, Contracts, City Gas Distribution, and Joint Venture & Subsidiary Operations.

During these tenures, he has played key roles in several strategic initiatives and policy matters impacting financial performance and corporate governance.

Notably, he also served as Nominee Director on the Board of Kochi Salem Pipeline Private Limited, a Joint Venture between Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

With his rich background in corporate finance, taxation, and strategic planning, Niranjan Bhalerao is expected to strengthen GRSE’s financial management framework and contribute significantly towards its long-term growth objectives.
