IAF Chetak Carrying Covid Sample Makes Emergency Landing on Highway, Crew Safe

New Delhi: A Chetak helicopter flying from Hindan air base in Ghaziabad to Chandigarh on a COVID-19 task of carrying test samples of Leh developed technical snag and landed safely on Outer Ring Road highway.

The actions taken by the pilots were prompt and correct. No damage to any property has been reported. Recovery aircraft was launched immediately from Hindan. The aircraft was rectified and recovered back promptly and safely at Hindon, says an Indian Air Force release.
