Securing Indian Seas: KSSL Awarded Contracts Worth Rs 2500 Million for Supply of Underwater Systems

Pune. The Indian MoD has awarded Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd. (KSSL) contracts valued at more than Rs 2,500 million for supply of underwater systems. The contract signed on November 10, 2025, stipulates delivery within a year (i.e. by November 2026) aligned with Fast Track procurement norms

KSSL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, drives defence business initiatives. KSSL has built capabilities for design, development, and production in unmanned marine systems over the past 5 years, having supplied autonomous underwater vehicles which are already in service with Indian Navy.

Underwater Domain is a key focus area for KSSL, along with naval guns and marine equipment, and its ramping up capabilities to be closely aligned with the Indian Navy’s urgent and mission-critical requirements. KSSL remains committed to ensuring timely delivery of these advanced solutions.
