IPS Rajesh Nirwan Appointed New Director General – Bureau of Civil Aviation Security

New Delhi: IPS Rajesh Nirwan has been appointed as the new Director General of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of civil aviation in the country.

Rajesh Nirvana hails from Jodhpur. He has done CA, MBA and Master in Police Management. Rajesh Nirvana had his first posting as SP in CID (CB) Jaipur. Later he was SP of Jhalawar, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Kota city.

Promoted to Deputy Inspector General of Police in 2007, he remained in CBI till 2009. Promoted as IG in 2010 and took command of Ajmer Range till 2012. From October 2016 to October 2023, he held the post of Inspector General of Police and Additional Director General of Police in Border Security Force (BSF) New Delhi.
