Kochi. A five-member Sri Lankan defence delegation led by Rear Admiral P.M. Wickramasinghe is here on a three-day visit till Saturday.
The delegation includes one officer from the Sri Lanka (SL) Navy and three officers from the SL Air Force.
The delegation called on Vice Admiral AK Chawla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command.
The delegation also visited the Indian Naval Air Squadron 550 which fly the “Dornier” maritime patrol aircraft, to gain an insight into operations undertaken by the aircraft in the maritime domain, as well as maintenance facilities and training courses for the ‘Pilots’ and ‘Observers’. The team also visited the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Training to understand the training curriculum of the maintainers, as also the Water Survival Training Facility.
