Prime Minister Narendra Modi Outlines Vision for India-US Strategic Partnership

New Delhi. Reiterating the priority that India attaches to its relations with the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has outlined his vision for the Strategic Partnership between the two nations in the new tenure of the Government and beyond, building on strong foundation of trust and shared interest.

The development took place during visiting US Secretary of State Michael R Pompeo’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on June 26 to Indian expressed the US Government’s continued interest in building stronger relations with India and working together to realize the shared vision and goals.

The Prime Minister expressed his strong commitment to achieve the full potential of bilateral relations in trade and economy, energy, defence, counter-terrorism and people-to-people contacts.

Earlier, Secretary Pompeo conveyed greetings of President Trump to the Prime Minister and congratulated the Prime Minister on his electoral victory.

The Prime Minister thanked Secretary Pompeo for his warm greetings and also requested him to convey his thanks to President Trump for his good wishes.
