US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Visits India in Last Week of June

New Delhi. US Secretary of State Michael R Pompeo is visiting India from June 25-27.

This will be the first high level engagement with the United States after the elections in India. During his visit, Pompeo will hold talks with External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and call on other dignitaries in the Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said.

Secretary Pompeo’s visit will be an important opportunity for both sides to explore ways to further strengthen the India-US Strategic Partnership, and continue the high-level engagement on matters of mutual interest including bilateral, regional, and global issues, the MEA spokesperson added.
