New Delhi: Renowned Indian footballer Bhaichung Bhutia joined in the diamond jubilee celebrations of Eastern Air Command (EAC) in Shillong on November 16 wherein a Bara Khana (community lunch) was part of the function for the air warriors and families.
He was welcomed by Air Marshal Rajiv Dayal Mathur, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, EAC for the community lunch.
Bhutia thanked the Indian Air Force (IAF) for the services extended during the natural calamities. He spoke of how Subroto Mukherjee Football tournament organised by the IAF proved to be the stepping stone in his career in football.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by air warriors and their families and furthered the camaraderie and bonhomie among all ranks of the IAF.
