Sandeep Agarwal, Managing Director of Exicom Technologies India in the second episode of the docu-series Aatmanirbhar Bharat: Makers of Indian Defence says candidly that the company which became operational in 2017 had as its “principal vision to excel in wireless communication.”

Elaborating further on the subject of communication, he said that the “present day security forces really need a communication infrastructure that can support voice, data and video.”

“Exicom Technologies is a deep tech defence solutions integrator which provides reliable and cost-effective solutions to its customers”, said Agarwal. “However, transporting of information and command and control and digital form over existing wireless communication system has been a challenge for our company and also various others specifically designed for the defence forces.”

Exicom Technologies India has supplied Video Transmitters, Receivers, Downlinks, P2P Radios and Mesh Manet solutions to various security agencies including Indian Defence System. It has always focused on meeting the tactical communication needs of Indian Defence Sector. The company is developing various products for defence ranging from Soldier Radio to Linking Robots, UGV, UAV, Drones, USV to Helicopters, Aircrafts, Fighter Jets and many more.

Under Make in India initiative, Exicom deals with manufacturing of Video Airborne Downlink Equipment and Manet Mesh Data Radio. Exicom has already supplied customised Video Transmitters, Mesh Manet Radio to various security agencies including Defence.  Exicom has the capability to produce customised solutions for Special Forces of Military and Civil, Integrated surveillance solution. Video, Audio and Data based Command and Control links for land, Sea or Air (SWARM).

Exicom Technologies India’s Director -Technology, Rajesh Deshmukh said, “There was need to provide low intensity, high capacity communication link that would support triple play service and more importantly be able to network which we call mesh to roll out in space and time domain in synchronization with process of operations.”

 

“We have now come up with solutions that have a very low latency and higher up to 90 MBPS data feed. In addition to overcoming all challenges in wireless communication, our USP is that it can be easily customized to robotic use and remotely piloted vehicles like drones and also tactical awareness and in command posts,” concluded Rajesh Deshmukh.

The company also has partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) from other countries and its products have been well received by end users.
