Eurosatory 2026: Thales Launches RapidStriker, a Complete System for Protection Against Drones

Thales launches RapidStriker in response to the ubiquitous threat of drones. RapidStriker is a new generation of mobile air defence capability against drones and helicopters. RapidStriker implements a combination of complementary weaponry, including 68mm and 70mm rockets, guided and unguided

Paris: RapidStriker is a comprehensive, coherent and scalable solution combining advanced 360°detection, automated fire control and drone neutralisation. It provides the forces with a mobile capacity for rapid, accurate and adaptable reaction, essential in the face of contemporary air threats of high intensity. It includes detection, fire control and effectors such as rockets, small calibre cannon and remotely operated ammunition allowing a complementarity of effects.

Thanks to this integration, the system is able, in a few seconds, to detect, identify, track and neutralise a threat. This performance is based on strong automation and advanced data fusion from all sensors.

With its high-performance and cost-optimised 68mm and 70mm rocket systems, guided and unguided, Thales is able to meet all the demands and needs in terms of drone control as well as ground-to-ground precision and saturation fire support.

The RapidStriker system can be integrated on any type of high mobility combat vehicle, including the BushMaster Utility unveiled by Thales on June 15, 2026 at Eurosatory.

RapidStriker also integrates easily into an expanded air defence architecture. It is fully interoperable with Thales’s integrated SkyDefender air and missile defence system.

“With RapidStriker, Thales takes a decisive step forward in the fight against drones, providing forces a complete, agile and efficient solution, adapted to the protection challenges and the evolution of the threat. This innovation illustrates our ability to respond quickly to the critical needs of armies, developing in a few months turnkey systems that make a difference on the ground and can be integrated into a large number of combat vehicles,” says Julien Assoun, Vice-President Vehicles and Tactical Systems at Thales.
