Tel Aviv: Israeli company Drive Group launches “Barak Light Guard”, a smart security system that according to the company sets a new standard in the protection of borders, strategic facilities and critical infrastructure.
The system was developed by Barak 555, part of the Drive Group, in collaboration with two Israeli tech companies – the manufacturer of LiDAR sensors Innoviz and the software company Cogniteam, which developed analytics software based on artificial intelligence (AI).
The “Barak Light Guard” system combines a video camera, a high-resolution 3D LiDAR sensor, advanced analytics software, tactical systems for rapid deployment, and secure cellular transmission with cyber protection. This combination enables real-time monitoring and control from anywhere – from the office or mobile phone, with 3D visualisation capabilities, instant alert of any suspicious movement, and 24/7 continuous recording.
The system provides the ability to detect motion up to a distance of up to 400 metres at very high resolution, detect static objects in areas defined as “sterile”, and rapid calibration without the need for physical field reconnaissance. These advantages ensure full coverage even in complex terrain or extreme weather conditions.
Benny Lev, CEO of Barak 555 of the Drive Group, said, “For the first time, the innovative LiDAR system enables photography from large distances and the identification of objects in motion, and provides significant advantages in monitoring and securing open areas, such as border areas, military installations and critical infrastructure.”
