Amit Kalyani Re-Appointed as Whole-time Director – Bharat Forge, Designated as Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director

Pune: The Board of Directors, Bharat Forge Limited has re-appointed Amit Kalyani as a whole-time director designated as Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director upon the recommendations of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee, the company said in a filing to stock exchanges.

The re-appointment of Amit Kalyani will be for further term of five (5) consecutive years commencing from May 11, 2024 till May 10, 2029 (both inclusive). This re-appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company.

Amit Kalyani’s present tenure as Joint Managing Director of the Company will conclude on May 10, 2024. He has been associated with Bharat Forge since 1999, starting his career focusing on operations and manufacturing before moving on to IT and Finance. He has been the company’s Executive Director since May 2004, the release stated.

According to the company, Amit Kalyani has played a key role in strategy and execution of the several acquisitions made by the company and has widely contributed to the company’s success along with diversifying of business by pioneering into new ventures. His current focus in on revamping the HR practices and processes aligned with the objectives of accelerating organic and in organic growth including new age technologies.

At Bharat Forge, Amit Kalyani has contributed immensely towards ESG emission reduction and improving overall ESG score of the company, initiatives towards increased consumption of renewable energy, digitisation, revamping of company policies including digital advancements to further improve the company operations and productivity.

He is a member of many committees of the Government of India on manufacturing, education, skill development and bilateral relations. He is extremely passionate about manufacturing, technology and CSR especially in the areas of education, healthcare and giving back to society, said the release.
