Integrated Air Command and Control System at Air Force Station Memaura, Lucknow

Lucknow. Air Marshal SBP Sinha PVSM AVSM VM Air Officer Commanding in Chief Central Air Command, inaugurated Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) at Air Force Station Memaura through video conferencing on August 2, 2018. IACCS was inducted in Indian Air Force in year 2009. The system at Air Force Station Memaura is the upgraded version and has been inducted into Central Air Command for the first time.

IACCS is an indigenous system developed by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). It comprises of network of ground based as well as airborne sensors and weapon platforms. IACCS automates real time integration of all air defence resources including multiple radar sensors, missile systems, which in turn facilitate centralised command and control. It provides decision makers with enhanced situational awareness for quick decision making against any airborne threat and enhances India’s capability to undertake Netcentric operations.

MV Gawtama Chairman and Managing Director of BEL and Air Vice Marshal AB Gupta AOC Advance HQ CAC were present for the ceremony.Group Captain AS Minhas VSM Station Commander, Air Force Station Memaura, delivered the welcome address and the keynote address was delivered by Air Marshal Sinha through video conferencing. He brought out the significance of IACCS in National Security.

He further emphasised that all personnel of IAF and BEL involved in the project need to work as a team and put their best to derive maximum operational benefits from the project.
