Aero India 2023: Crown Group Company, OSK India Signs MoU with Aniba Solution to Provide MRO Services for Control System of Marine Gas Turbines to Indian Navy

Bangalore. Crown Group Defence company, OSK India Pvt Ltd (OIPL), one of India’s largest independent defence MRO major in a drive to promote its partnerships with domestic industry and to support indigenous MRO for Indian Navy under ‘Make in India’, has signed an MoU with Aniba Solution Pvt Ltd (ASPL) who is engaged in the business of Design, Development of Control System for Marine Gas Turbine engines for Indian Navy at Aero India 2023.

Cmde Rakesh Anand (Retd.), Head of Marine Division, Crown Group Defence said “We are delighted to partner with ASPL to serve the Marine & Naval forces. We are excited to offer Product support for Propulsion Gas Turbines and Gas Turbine Generators for their warships.”

Under the agreement, both OIPL & ASPL are jointly partnering to undertake servicing of Control System units of Marine Gas Turbines and Gas Turbine Generators and installation of Marine Gas Turbine engines on ships including other areas of cooperation.

Talking about the tie-up, Mr. Vishwas, Director ASPL said “We are excited to partner with Crown Group which has a rich history of serving the Indian Defence forces. The tie-up will lend us greater credibility and will help in strengthening & scaling up our capabilities to meet the growing demands for overhauling Gas Turbine control system units for the majority of Gas Turbines of the Indian Navy by innovative solutions at economical prices in a short span of time.”

OSK India provides servicing needs for Operational Readiness of the Indian defence sector, undertakes routines and repairs of Marine Engineering equipment and Weapon System.

OSK India has a state-of-the-art electronics repair facility in Mumbai specializing in the repair of electronic modules and weapon systems of international origin. They have recently repaired critical weapon equipment for the Indian Navy and are currently working on the next order.

ASPL is in the business of Design and Development of controls and Instrumentation of Marine Gas Turbine engines, including repair, defect diagnosis, overhaul and installation of control systems for 1241 RE class of Ships of Indian Navy. ASPL also has rich exposure on the various Marine GTs like, installation and commissioning of M-15 GTs on Ships. Handling Guarantee defects and acceptance trials and setting up of marine GT test bed on turnkey basis.

OIPL has an agreement with an international OEM, who is the OEM for manufacturing 1250 E Gas Turbine Generators. The agreement assures providing service and spares for carrying out repairs and routines to the GTs and GTGs of the Indian Navy.
