Iran is expected to launch ballistic missiles after the Israeli planned retaliation. The Iranians in the past launched big salvos of ballistic missiles and brought the US to send its systems to Israel.

It is expected that the US will also operate its long range radars to assist Israel to get an early warning of the expected missiles attack from Iran.
