ROSOBORONEXPORT Offers to Organise Production and Service of Russian UAVs Abroad During UMEX 2024

Abu Dhabi, UAE. The JSC ROSOBORONEXPORT (part of Rostec State Corporation) is participating in the Sixth International Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX 2024), which will be held from January 23 to 25, 2024 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

“Today ROSOBORONEXPORT is present in all segments of the global market for unmanned ground, aerial and underwater vehicles. Ground systems include robotic demining systems and robotic combat vehicles. We expect to start promoting reconnaissance & fire support robots as well as unmanned ammunition delivery and casualty evacuation vehicles in the near term. In 2023 we started promoting the Klavesin-1RE autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle designed to operate at sea, which has aroused great interest among partners that have access to the sea”, – ROSOBORONEXPORT Director General Alexander Mikheev said. – “The company presents the widest range of products in the segment of unmanned aerial vehicles. ROSOBORONEXPORT has been successfully promoting the Orlan-10E, Orlan-30 and Orion-E reconnaissance/strike UAVs, as well as Kub-E loitering munition, which have substantiated their capabilities in real combat operations. We are actively working with Russian manufacturers to market drones modernized with regard to feedback from the battlefield, as well as new products”.

During the UMEX 2024 specialized exhibition, ROSOBORONEXPORT will make presentations of the Russian unmanned systems being promoted and hold a number of meetings on cooperation in this field with representatives of the United Arab Emirates and other Middle East countries.

The company’s representatives will tell about the ample opportunities in the field of industrial cooperation through the local production of drones on the customer’s premises, joint R&D work on advanced drones, taking into account the serious competence of the Russian side in their development and combat employment.

In addition, ROSOBORONEXPORT will offer partners its services in the construction of high-tech service facilities at the local and regional level for repair and maintenance of unmanned systems from various manufacturers. These proposals are based on the rich experience in organising such infrastructure in the mass employment of unmanned vehicles in real combat conditions.

“At UMEX 2024, ROSOBORONEXPORT will also present counter-UAV systems, including those developed by Rostec enterprises, and will brief about their capabilities. The company’s catalog includes soft- and hard-kill systems designed to counter small, medium and large UAVs. We also have experience in protecting personnel, equipment and facilities from drones both in combat conditions and infrastructure outside the line of battle contact, which we are ready to take into account when organising defence systems on the territory of our partners,” – Alexander Mikheev added.
