Tel Aviv. Israel may retaliate on Iranian attacks against Israeli-owned ships. The last attack occurred earlier this month when an Israeli-owned ship was hit by a missile while it sailed in the Gulf of Oman.

According to media reports, the Liberian-flagged container ship Lori departed from Dar es Salaam in Tanzania on March 21, heading for the port of Mundra on the West Coast of India, when it was hit by a missile.

The ship, was reportedly lightly damaged, and continued to its destination.

The alleged attack comes after both Israel and Iran have accused each other of escalating attacks against merchant ships.

On February 26, an explosion occurred on the Israeli owned MV Helios ship that sails under a Bahamian flag.

Reports said, Israel has targeted at least 12 ships bound for Syria, most of them transporting Iranian oil, with mines and other weapons.

Israeli sources say that the repeated attacks will bring a retaliation. “The shape and time of this retaliation will be determined soon. Israel will not tolerate this Iranian aggression.” one of the sources said.

Israel has been attacking shipments of Iranian made systems that are aimed at increasing the accuracy of the rockets in the hands of the Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The aerial attacks hit convoys making their way to Lebanon via Syria and places where these systems are stored.
