India, US hold Senior Officers Meeting on Homeland Security Dialogue

New Delhi. Senior Officers Meeting on Homeland Security Dialogue between India and US was held in New Delhi July 18.

The Government of India delegation was led by Rajni Sekhri Sibal, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. US side was led by James McCament, Deputy Under Secretary, Department of Homeland Security.

The meeting focused on issues relating to security cooperation, customs and immigration, aviation security, capacity building etc. Both sides agreed to work out the modalities to address these issues.

The discussions were held in a friendly atmosphere and it was agreed to maintain sustained interactions to enhance security cooperation between the two countries.
