IAI Receives FAA Certification to Maintain CFMI LEAP-1B Series Engines

Barcelona. Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has received FAA certification to perform QT-level maintenance for CFMI LEAP-1B engines. The company is currently in the process of receiving the final certification for this engine from the EASA.

IAI’s announcement at Aviation Week’s MRO Europe 2024 event, follows several months after the company obtained EASA and FAA certification to perform QT-level maintenance for CFMI LEAP-1A Series engines. These approvals open a new channel of business for the company’s Engine MRO services, which already includes Engine MRO for the existing list of capabilities such as the CFM56-3/5/7, V2500 & PW4000 engine overhaul.
