High Altitude, Harsh Condition Trials of ATAGS Successful: Bharat Forge

New Delhi: Announcing  ATAGS successful completion of trials on Twitter, Bharat Forge Ltd expressed its gratitude to DRDO,  thanked its partners and PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission that re-energised and motivated the industry to raise the bar and meet the challenge.

The company tweet stated, “We are proud to share that ATAGS has successfully completed trials in the highest altitude with harshest conditions. This would not have been possible without our partners. We express our gratitude to DRDO for guidance and faith in manifesting this achievement into reality.”

The high altitude trials were carried out in Sikkim. The ATAGS created a new record as it fired at 13,000+ feet height, thus proving endurance and reliability. The Gun successfully completed 500+ km in treacherous high-altitude terrain up to 15,400 feet and proving ease of mobility.

It also successfully proved its range capability, lethality and demonstrated Bharat Forge’s innovative, patented technology with shortest turning circle diameter for any towed gun of 155 calibre.
