HENSOLDT has been at forefront of airborne radars innovation for several decades and the company has an impressive heritage when it comes to the development of next-generation sensor technology. PrecISR airborne surveillance radar is HENSOLDT India’s newest technology response to face the challenges of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions at Air, Sea and Land.
Designed for a wide range of airborne platforms (UAVs, helicopters, and special mission aircraft), PrecISR is the ISR sensor of choice for armed and security forces to mitigate human and drug trafficking, piracy and smuggling, illegal fishing, or any other environmental threat. It is also the perfect surveillance solution for land missions or Search and Rescue operations.
PrecISR can detect and track more than 1000 targets simultaneously to identify the “needle in the haystack” over large areas
Using software-defined radar modes and electronic beam steering, PrecISR can detect and track more than 1000 targets simultaneously to identify the “needle in the haystack” over large areas.
PrecISR offers a large range of detection modes (SAR, GMTI, ISAR, MMTI, Range Profiling, AMTI), which are compatible to most mission profiles and can perform different tasks at the same time across all three domains: Air, Sea and Land.
Equipped with the latest generation of AESA antenna technology PrecISR is low SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) high-performance and scalable radar and delivers double the radio frequency power of a traditional antenna. Despite its small size and its low power consumption, it provides outstanding detection and tracking performances and ultra-high-quality images, up to 370 km in a 360-degree radius.
Designed for a wide range of airborne platforms including UAVs, helicopters, and special mission aircraft, PrecISR is a single-component “plug-and-play” radar that does not require any penetration of the fuselage and can be dismantled within less than 20 minutes

In 2023, HENSOLDT supplied another multi-mission surveillance radar PrecISR to one of the biggest airborne surveillance providers, CAE Aviation, Luxembourg. CAE Aviation, which operates a large fleet of surveillance aircraft, decided to renew its trust in HENSOLDT by awarding them with a contract to deliver one new PrecISR1000. This is the second order, after HENSOLDT delivered the first PrecISR in 2021.
