GRSE participates in Model Exhibition & Industry-Institute Interaction

Kolkata. Department of Technical Education, Training & Skill Development, Government of West Bengal organised an “Exhibition of Models prepared by students of all the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Polytechnics of the State” at ITI, Tollygunge in Kolkata on February 27 and 28.

Purnendu Basu, Minister-in-Charge of Department of Technical Education, Training & Skill Development, Government of West Bengal inaugurated the exhibition.

An Industry – Institute Interaction session was conducted during the programme which was attended by senior officials of Department of Industrial Training, Government of West Bengal and senior executives from the reputed Industries and Corporates.

AK Mahapatro, GM (HR&A), GRSE Ltd participated in the inaugural and plenary session. In his speech, Mahapatro stressed upon the importance of collaboration between Industry & Institution in holistic development of students.

He gave details of skill development initiatives undertaken by GRSE in three Government ITIs i.e. ITI Tollygunge (Centre of Excellence in advanced welding), Women ITI, Kolkata and ITI, Balurghat under CSR initiative of the company.

The Minister and Principal Secretary appreciated GRSE’s efforts and requested to extend support for development of other ITIs in the state.
